This unit will provide you with basic tools for analysing economic issues in the world today using an analytical framework, with an emphasis on the economics of international trade and the development of markets. This view emphasises the role of government and studies the interactions between political and private actors in relation to markets. Topics include the law of comparative advantage, economic growth and redistribution, privatisation and migration.
