Assessment 2: Literature critique (30%)

Task: Individually you are required to write a literature critique of 1200 words (+/- 10%).

You have the option to base your literature critique on your choice from one of the following starter articles:

·                    Lam, S.S.K. (1996), “Applications of quality improvement tools in Hong Kong: an empirical analysis”, Total Quality Management, vol 7, no 6, pp 675-680

When: Hand in will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday 11/4/2016.

Where: A&PD lecture

Submission Details: two printed copies of your literature critique must be handed in and also a copy of the final word document must be submitted to TURNITIN, both of these are required by the deadline.

Please Note:

·                    Include a title page with each printed copy having: module code, module title, assignment number/title, your name, student number, class tutor’s name, due date and word count
·                    Write in a report style using headings and subheadings
·                    Use the critique template to help you analyse the article. Do not submit your critique in the template.
·                    Use line spacing = 1.5 and font size = 12
·                    Include page numbers, bottom right
·                    Do not include the title page, contents page, reference list or any appendices in the word count.
·                    Late or plagiarised assignments will be penalised in line with the policy set out in the Programme Guide.
·                    Do not use Wikipedia, blog sites or other non-academic sources as a reference.
·                    You are expected to use references from a range of resources which may include your set texts from the programme.
